What Suede Muse collects

Suede Muse collects the information you provide when you create an account (email address, Apple ID, or Google account), the lyric drafts and session notes you save, and basic usage data such as which features you use and when you complete a session. Audio recordings you make in-app are stored on your device and, if you enable sync, uploaded to your private storage bucket on Supabase.

How we use it

• To generate your daily constraint and personalize the adaptive training loop.
• To compute your weekly progress scores and AI-generated narrative.
• To store provenance hashes: a cryptographic fingerprint of your session content, used to timestamp and verify your authorship if you later publish a take.
• To operate and improve the Muse service.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your lyric drafts to train any AI model without your explicit consent.

AI processing

When you use AI features (hook finder, verse draft, block signal, progress narrative), the relevant session text (lyrics, prompts, and written notes) is sent to our Supabase Edge Functions, which call Anthropic's Claude API. Voice recordings you make in-app are never sent to Claude or any AI model; they are handled entirely through the separate storage path described above. Anthropic's data use policy applies to the text we send it. We do not persistently store your content with Anthropic beyond what is needed to complete each request.

Authentication

Sign-in is handled via Supabase Auth. If you use Apple Sign In, we receive only the information Apple passes through the Sign In with Apple flow. We do not see your Apple ID password at any time. If you use Google Sign-In, we receive only your name, email address, and profile photo, which is the standard information Google provides through its sign-in flow. We do not see your Google account password at any time.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account in the Muse app. Deletion is permanent and removes your sessions, progress data, profile, and any recordings synced to our storage from our systems. Recordings kept only on your device are unaffected by account deletion and are removed when you delete the app.

Children

Suede Muse is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
