How to use
Quick start: Stage Lyrics Prompter
- Paste your own lyric sheet and separate the song into recognizable sections. Read the text once before stage mode so an editing mistake does not become a performance surprise.
- Choose a text size you can read from your actual playing position. Set the scrolling speed and countdown while the device is on the stand you will use.
- Enter stage mode and rehearse a complete verse and chorus. Adjust the speed to the delivery, including held notes and instrumental space, rather than reading at speaking speed.
- Use the section jumps when rehearsing a particular passage. Use mirror mode only when your display setup requires reversed text, and check it from the performer’s position.
Questions
- Does scrolling follow my singing automatically?
- The prompter scrolls at the speed you choose. Rehearse the controls and section jumps for pauses or an extended instrumental passage; the page does not listen to the performance to follow your place.
- How do I prepare a reliable stage copy?
- Keep the original lyric file separately, test the whole song on the performance device and check its display and power settings. The editor remembers its state in the current browser; a separate copy lets you recover the text if browser data is cleared.
